Sending Samples:

The UC Riverside Xylella Project is a repository for DNA from nearly 400 different X. fastidiosa isolates.  The majority of these isolates were sent from researchers around the world for MLST sequencing and subspecies identification at no cost to the researcher.
In order to gain a complete understanding of the diseases this bacterium causes, we need to look closely at each Xylella isolate and compare its DNA sequence to other isolates in our database.  We need your help.  If you have a plant you think might be infected with Xylella, we need you send us samples for further analysis.
Please send questions to xylella@ucr.edu
